The first My Friend’s Place, named as a tribute to family and friends’ support and generosity during development of the concept, opened its doors to the public in 1980 in Sandy Springs, GA.
My Friend’s Place Deli challenged the dining norms of the Metro Atlanta community. Fast-food chains dominated the quick service market and patrons seeking healthy alternative were left with few options. My Friend’s Place created a place where guests could receive fresh and light salads and sandwiches delivered by friendly employees who knew them by name.
Over the next 40 years, My Friend’s Place expanded locations and introduced a franchise model.
